End of the Year

What a performance!  Well done tamariki on your exceptional performance at end of year assembly today!  I even had a few tears in my eyes after your item.  Boys I was amazed at your haka and girls your were true performers throughout!  I am so proud of all that you have achieved this year in Room 3.  You have shown respect for others, resilience when it has been tough and responsibility for yourself.  You should all be very proud!

I also want to thank students and parents for all of your kind cards and gifts.

Meri Kirihimete!

Fractions

In Room 3 we have been learning about fractions!

Here is a little video we watched to help us learn about halves and quarters...

Some things that we said we learnt about halves:

Julia "You cut it in half and you have to share it and make it fair."
Lucy "There is a whole, you chop it into halves and then another halves and its a quarter."
Olivia "If you have a heart and you cut it in half it will be half a heart"

Rosies World

Today we were lucky enough to be visited by Anna from School Kit.  She dropped off some awesome little kitchen accessories that we can use in our class.

She also left us a book called "Rosie to the Rescue"

We looked online and found out more information about Rosie here:

UNO

Today we were lucky enough to have the team from UNO come to school.  They came because Harry and Alexis' Aunty won a competition for our school.  Not only did we get a great donation of money but we also each got some UNO for ourselves!

UNO, alongside Mr Mac, joined in with junior jump jam after which was a particular highlight for all of us!!!
