About Us

Welcome to Room 1's Blog! We are a lively bunch of new entrants who are embarking on our lifelong learning journey at Hinuera School! Our class grows at different times of the year but we are starting off with three wonderful students! We love sharing our learning so check out all of the fun things we get up to as we transition from Early Childhood education to Primary!

Team Sport

Today for team sport we started a Perceptual Motor Programme.

Students take part in a wide range of activities which are designed to help them with their fine and gross motor skills alongside building their self-esteem and confidence.

Activities involve fitness, balance, locomotion, eye tracking, hand/eye and hand/foot coordination.

Here are some pictures of us in action!  We are looking forward to next Thursday already!

Welcome to Term 3

Wow what a busy first week we have had!

One of the biggest things we have been working on this week is Digi Awards...

Mrs Butler loves photography and has been helping us to learn all about camera and camera angles.  Today some of us got to go out and have a go at taking photos for Digi Awards.

Check out some of our amazing entries!

We are taking photo's as a class, if students have entries they have done at home please feel free to email them as an attachment or send them to school on a USB.  Students are then able to choose the picture that they would like to enter.

If you have something your child would like to photograph please send it to school on Monday or Tuesday for them to photograph.

Happy photo taking!
