You would have noticed the new section in our school newsletter for recommended apps.  Well I thought I would add some app recommendations onto here too!  Keep checking here for updates.

Toontastic is a fabulous app where you can create your own cartoons.  It also teaches you about different parts of a story.  A fun, interactive, FREE app!

Sock Puppets lets you create your own lip-synced videos and share them on Facebook and YouTube.  A great, fun, FREE app!

Chatterpix Kids enables you to take photos and make them talk!  Take a photo, add a mouth, record your sound, customize your picture and see it come to life!  Loads of fun!  Another FREE app!

Maths Splash Bingo is a fun way to practice basic facts.  You can choose your difficulty and whether you want to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.  There are different player profiles so you can track your own success.  Cost = FREE!!!

Māori Dictionary app is a great app for searching for English words to translate to Māori. It gives English meanings and simple sentences. It even has some photographs and audio clips.  $4.99

Pic Collage is the coolest collage maker in town!  It enables you to use photos, stickers, text and frames to create collages. This is another FREE app!

Letter School.  Play to learn all the letters in the alphabet.   Learn to form letters correctly.  A free version is available with limited letters, the paid app is $6.49.

Charades! Guess words with Kids.  Fun and exciting vocabulary building game for the whole family.  Guess the word on your head, from the clues your children give you, before the timer runs out!  This app is FREE!!!
