Welcome to 2015!

WOW!  What an amazing summer break it has been!  There has been soo much sunshine to enjoy!

I have had a very busy holiday!  We spent Christmas at my Dad's house in Te Puru then traveled to my father in laws house in Omaio!  We spent a long time there and traveled to Gisborne for new years and to see Marks Grandma who was in hospital.  We spent some time in Whitianga with friends and enjoyed the sunshine there. We did a few day trips to various beaches and I went to the redwoods on my new mountain bike and brought a new snazzy helmet!

Here is a picture of the beautiful sunset at Te Puru...

I am looking forward to having you all in Room 3 this year and am excited to see you all very soon!

I hope you have had an amazing holiday and are excited to start school!

Love

Frog on a Leaf

In room 3 we have been learning about making our writing exciting!  We had a go at describing this picture...

The rain drips down onto the pond.  The petals are shiny like diamonds.  The twig is like a little boat.  The frog is on the boat scared.  By Jaxon

As the dribbling rain drips into my little ears I am frightened as I am clinging onto the stalk.  As the white petals float down like pillows falling from the sky the leaf floats across the dark pond with a little frog like a little person is holding it the frog was frightened as he floated along the pond. By Charlotte

The rain drizzled and drizzled onto the lumpy flower pond.  The wind pushed the petals around the boat.  By Olivia

The falling rain is like snow splashing into the flower pond.  The yellow and white petals look like diamonds in the pond the little twig and the big twig made a boat.  The frog made it.  When he got on his boat he clang onto the boat.  He was frightened.  The frog was very scared he clung on tight he didnt want to let go because he will fall off.  By Hayley

The rain drizzled and drizzled onto the lumpy flower pond.  The yellow and white petals are floating on the soft water.  The stick is like an umbrella and it is flopping down and keeping the frog dry.  By Thomas

The rain is falling like a hail storm.  The petals fell from a big tree like diamonds.  The twig had a leaf on it.  The frog held the branch scared.  By Alexis.

The rain dropped down onto the peaceful river it all began in one day.  The tiny quiet petals hushed through the river.  The frog built a twig boat he pushed the boat on the dark water.  By Vincent
