Mathletics Challenge Day

Today was Mathletics Challenge Day.

In room 3 we played lots of new maths games, practiced our number knowledge and basic facts.  We also tried our best to get Mathletics certificates and get as many points as we can.

Here are some pics from our wonderful maths day!

Holland

Today we were very lucky!  Holly's Au Pair, Esther, came to talk to us about Holland.  She shared some wonderful facts about Holland including where it was on the map.  Her and Holly taught us how to count in dutch.  She taught us about the windmills making flour, the thousands of bikes in Holland and the beautiful Tulips.

We made some tiles out of paper plates that had windmills or other dutch things on them.

We also got to sample some Dutch treats!

Thank you sooo much Esther for sharing with us the wonderful things in your home country of Holland!

Pizza!

We have been learning all about different countries.  Today Mrs Whylie taught us about Italy.  We made delicious pizzas using tomato paste, ham, pineapple & cheese.

Here are a few snaps of us munching on our pizza!

Counting

Today we practiced our counting to a new song!  It has some fitness and movement in it too!

Here it is so we can keep practicing at home!

We also learnt about odd and even numbers!  Here is a song to help us remember and practice odd and even numbers!
