Online Safety and Blog Guidelines

Rules for Online Safety

• I will not give out my personal information such as my address or telephone number.
• I will tell my parents or a teacher if I come across something that makes me feel uncomfortable.
• I will never agree to get together with someone I have met online. 
• I will never send my picture to anyone without checking with my parents or teacher first. 
• I will not respond to messages that are mean or make me feel uncomfortable. 

At the beginning of each year students participate in a online safety program known as 'Hectors World'.  Feel free to find out more here.

Blog Guidelines

Our class blog is a way for us to share our learning with others.  It is important that we learn how to use the internet and our blog in a safe way. 

• Students work will only be identified by first names.
• All comments submitted must be approved by Mrs Butler first. 
• Proof read comments carefully.  Parents could help you to write comments and proof read them. 
• Always write in fulls sentences.  No text talk. 
• Share our blog with family and friends.

Commenting Guidelines

Commenting on our class blog and other blogs is fun.  It is a great way to find out about others learning.

Here are some rules to remember when making comments...

• only put your first name. 
• remember to get your comment proof read by an adult. 
• only make positive comments.
• make sure what you are saying is related to the post content.
• you could answer a question or include something you know about the post. 
• you could ask a question.
